Faiz is a painter based in the Maldives, working between Impressionism and Abstract.

Born and raised in Male’, he started creating at a very young age. He works using loose, expressive brushwork and vivid color, capturing from quiet seascapes and turquoise waters to the energy of city streets. 

Over time, he began translating into abstraction: bold colors, layered textures, and gestures that evoke place and feeling without depicting it directly. 

Whether a recognizable landscape or a non-objective canvas, each painting is an original, hand-painted work, that explores feelings and ideas beyond what can be seen. His work is often inspired by landscapes, the sea, and fleeting moments of beauty.

Faiz trained at Majeediyya School and paints from a studio in Male’, Maldives. He has exhibited extensively in the Maldives, and abroad. His work is held in private collections  internationally, and in Maldives.
